Interesting..

interesting read...

it's disturbing to mean.seems like they are doing science for sciences and not thinking of the ethics involved. After dolly the sheep was cloned, people talked oh all the medical advances that would come, instead we bring back someones dead pet rat? they went from a more complex organism to a rat, so a logical progression didn't happen, the only difference is it's a way of "bringing back the dead". Sorry to rant but ethically and morally what they did was wrong. I know i'm ranting on what was said in the article, but there are reasons most scientists are required to take ethics in college. I know i did.

^^^

I know what you mean CCM... it gets wierd when science can determine the fate of people or animals' existance.

many debates can be brought up on the good things and the bad things that such a scientific breakthrough can bring to the world.

It's exciting and scary at the same time.

hopefully it'll tightly be controlled and this technology won't be given to the wrong hands.

the only problem when speaking ethics is that ethics is also debatable, what some may see as unethical others may not. Caining comes to mind. I see it as a perfectly good way of punishment for certain things while many view it as wrong. Of course this is all just my opinion:)

I agree... not on the caning part, more on your opinion of ethics.

well this will make for some very interesting days in the times to come

as it is with any great development in science there will be those who do their best to pervert it from its intent for which it came to be

time will tell
