Currently I have only plastic and silk plants in my aquarium. At first I didn't think I would want to get real plants, but now as I'm getting myself deeper into this hobby I'm thinking it may actually be interesting. Because my tank is still cycling, I don't have any fish yet. However, I plan on keeping primarily angelfish, although I'm going to add a cory or two to the mix. My tank is 55 gallons. Any suggestions for a plant that is easy to care for and is good for a first-timer would be greatly appreciated.

Java fern, java moss, most anubias, and most crypts would work. There are lots of people around here with "low light" tanks.
