Sure, I had one going with some crypts and hygrophila for a while. I replaced the incandescent bulb with a 23w screw-in CF bulb.

I have Java ferns,amubias and some Amazon Swords in mine, and they're doing very well. I'm using a 13W flourescent in mine.
