in your house!!
well i am getting rid of 6 platys and a sailfin molly from my 35 gal. stock will 1 angel, 1 blue ram, 1 dwarf gourami and 4 bronze corydoras.
well i saw BFK's sev and just loved it! could i add 1 to this tank?
params are: 6.7 ph, 0 nitrites, 20 nitrates, 0 ammonia. it is very lightly planted with lots of rock work on the bottom with a lot of open swim space at the top. could it work? if not what about festivums? they were neat looking to i thought and read they attain a max length of 3.5". could i add 1 or 2 if the sev dont work? thx for answerin my q's guys im a such a noob at cichlids!

only for the festivum, sevs get to big. I would say that a sev would need a minimum of 55 gallons for a single specimen. If you remove the angel you may be able to get away with the festivum

Unfortunately, a severum would grow too large for that tank, even if it was the only fish in it. They really need a 55G minimum for a single severum (a 4 ft. x 1 ft. footprint, its a size issue not a bioload one). I agree that you *may* be able to get away with a single festivum if you remove the angel - what is the footprint of your tank, exactly? I don't know a whole lot about festivum though.
