Ive had this growing in the tank for quite some time now but have been too lazy to take care of it. It appears to be some sort of fuzzy green algae, and it is starting to take over! Any ideas what it is, an how do I make it go byebye? Im sorry the pics arent the best, for some reason I cant capture a good pic of it. Any input would be appreciated, thanks!

i will begin to research this then, however any recommendations of your own as to get rid of it?

I have it too...looks like a lawn...what don't you like about it? I'm sure there is someone willing to eat it...

well its in a 10 gallon tank so its not like i can just start adding fish to eat it. i have a single blue fin damsel as well as several hermits and none of them are eating it.

Its hard to tell but it looks like the start of Hair Algae. I would remove it manually asap. You can pull it off or pull the rock out of the tank and scrub it off with a toothbrush. Either way do it right away because it will rapidly spread and thats bad.

i pulled off alot of it, but it seems evertime i look in the tank i find more. other than just yankin it out, what other treatment options are there?

I'm pretty sure my trochus snails have been eating mine...I think my emerald crab eats it too. I've had it for a while and it has never "bloomed"
