Should I use air in my powerhead?

are you running diy co2??
If you are worried about the fish when the lights go off then just turn off the co2 (thats if you got pressurized) but if you have diy then you can run an airstone without any issues.. but i must ask why would you do that?! if the fish look fine when the lights are off/on then you got nothing to worry about.
