It certainly is a lot slower then when I joined but I wouldn't call it going down hill. I think the quality is still here...

You might not get 100 answers to a question, but who wants 100 answers if none of them are any good? I feel like questions get answered very well, in as timely a manner as possible.
Plus, I like the difference of opinions here. At first I thought people were just being obstinate, but I realized over time that in this hobby, there are at LEAST 2 ways of doing most anything, and that getting two different answers to the same question was a good thing, as it fairly represents the whole answer to a given question.
My tank is better off than it was before I joined AC, and that seems like as good a measure as any...

True, I also noticed a lot less posts on this site. HOwever, when questions are answered in this forum I have also noticed that the information replied seems to be right on the ball.

Is this really appropos for this forum? (Discussion about Aquaria Central, maybe)
As for there not being as many posts, I think that almost everyone would agree that that is a good thing. There were a lot of worthless posts here for a while!

suppose so,who cares anyway as long as the answers and information are correct and accurate which in my opinion they nearly always are

That's right. You're correct that it's eerily quiet, though...maybe we all just learned everything about the fishes that we have and are going to get soon...

Ummm, I just bought an Achilles Tang and Black Ribbon Eel that were cheap, am I in trouble (hardiness wise)? Just Kidding. Actually I did get an Achilles and BRE but the BRE has been in captivity for 2 years and eats everything. And the Achilles has been in cap for well over 2 months and also eats everything and knew a lot about both before the purchase. Anyway, yes the # of posts has gone down BUT the info on the replies is still right on target. All posts are highly informative, educational, and appropriate. I think despite the lower volume the forums are the best they have been in a long time.

Amen, MSL, I have been pleasantly surprised by that which I have found today.
I do really like the folks we have here on the forum but I would like to be able to read new threads and posts a little more often. I think the thing is that a lot of the people here read alot of the threads but don't post much??? That seems like it anyway based on the posts compared to the number of views on each thread.

I'd like to see more posts as well. But I would prefer that people maintain their current habit of posting well-considered replies. I really try to avoid posting on anything that I don't know much about (tangs, anemones, e.g.), and like that others show the same level of restraint.
