Hello:

I am redoing a couple of my tanks and I am thinking about moving my otos into a 10G tank with cherry shrimp. I have 5 otos that I wanted to move. The otos seem pretty hardy- I didn't lose any when I bought them and I put them in an unestablished tank before I knew better.

I have had the otos for about one year. Two of them are in a 20H tank where I was growing out two baby bn. Three are in another 20H. I wanted to move one of bn to the other 20H and consolidate the otos.

Alternatively, I could keep the shrimp by themselves in a 5G hex and put something else in the 10G so I could leave the otos in a 20H tanks\. Would the 5G be too small for a small colony of cherry shrimp? How many otos could I keep in the 20H?

Thanks!

you could easily keep the 5 otos in the 20H. I would go with 6-8 of them. I had 5 in a 20H for awhile and hardly saw them. When I added a few more they came out more often. It was a shrimp/oto tank.
