Hi guys,

So im going to put in an order for some plants for my new tank setup. Ive been on plantgeek.com and tropica.com looking at the different styles and reading up about them so with that info ive come to these decisions based on how difficult the plants would be to keep for a first timer..

Backround: Hygrophila Polysperma, Aponogeton Crispus, Limnophila Sessiliflora.

Middle: Anubias barteri var barteri, Microsorum pteropus, Bacopa Australis.

Foreground: Anubias nana var nana, cryptocoryne wendtii

As I say I made these choices mainly on difficulty.. all of these were rated 'very easy/easy' to grow with low light and little maintanence..

My tank is 60gallon 4ft x 2ft... I havent decided yet but I will probably have gourami, corys and red/lemon tetras in the tank..

Let me know what you think!

What lighting? For me bacopa & ambulia (limnophila) do better under ~2watts/gallon. But all are easy to grow...

well like fishorama said the first step is what kind of light and how much of it. really most plants are easy if you give them the light they need and the ferts to grow.

Im growing them under 2x 42" 38w Arcadia Tropical lamps.. They cover the red and blue spectrums and are specifically for growing aquarium plants...

My substrate is just normal gravel.. not too fine not too course..

the anubias and crypts might work. though remember that isnt too much light. might want to double that. personally i would look into 2 55w bright kits from ahsupply.

I just got one of those bulbs today I might ring them tommorow and see if they can exchange it for the 55w version instead..
