well i got more plants for my 35 gal planted! flora includes javamoss, hornwort, vals, red water lily and a dieing aponogeton. fauna includes, ghost shrimp, dwarf gouramie, blue ram, 10 neons, 4 bronze cories, 2 male guppies, 2 swordtails, 1 flying fox algae eater, 1 black neon and 1 gold tetra. well without further ado pics!
Looks great! Be careful adding seashells to FW setups as they can have unintended consequences for water chemistry.

you mean like it could add to the water hardness or pH or something? i didnt know that! very neat. i also need a hood for it so i can put some proper light on it

Those plants are going to need close to 1 wpg to survive. Natural daylight isn't enough, and will probably lead to algae if in direct sunlight...

Nice looking fishies. The vals should do OK under the lights where you placed them.

Did you use incandescent lights for the hood?
evelyn80

i have no idea, the box didnt say. i know its not fluorescent either.

Judging by the yellow-orange light, they are probably incandescent. The WPG rule doesn't apply to incandescent bulbs because they are less efficient than fluorscents. If you put a 60 watt incandescent light bulb over a 30 gallon tank, you do not have 2 WPG, you only have a fraction of that available for plant growth.

Your SAE looks suspiciously like a CAE......Your tank is coming along nicely.

I am 98% sure that is a CAE, and not a SAE.
