Ive been wanting one for awhile and im excited to say Ive got one. He has not moved at all since Ive put him in there about 5 hours ago. Did he die on the way home or do they do this?

He is probably pretty stressed. Make sure he has a place to hide and noone to bother him, turn off the lights and he will start exploring like mad.

should i move him in one of caves cuz hes kinda out in the open or just turn out the lights and leave him alone?

Just leave him alone if there are other fish that might bug him you can put him near a cave but I think that moving him will be a setback with his relaxing.

ok just did it. hopefully he wont be in the same spot tomorrow

grr he hasnt moved :(

how can i tell if he's still alive?

sniff him. if he smells like rotting fish, he is dead. Its most likely he is fine. I would give him a few days to adjust to your tank. Was he moving around when you bought him (in the LFS tank) or was he shipped? What size tank and what other tank inhabitants?

he was moving in the LFS's tank. Hes in a 20 gallon long w/ a ramshorn, 4 mollies, 4 danios and 2 platies
