Hi guys,

Does anybody have any links or info on how to identify rhizomes and how to split them properly?

a rhizome is basically a horizontal branch with the roots growing down and the leaves growing up, to split it i'd use a razor blade or a very sharp knife. never bury the rhizome tie it to wood or a rock you can bury the loose roots if you want to put it in the substrate

Bushwhacker hit it right on the money. The best results I get is from using a very sharp craft knife and then attaching it to spaces in my wood with black cotton thread. By the time the cotton thread has broken, the Anubias will have attached.

Try to get 4-5 leaves & some good roots on each piece

excellnt thanks guys.. I just got some anubias nana and some microsorum pteropus today.. Im going to use the black thread to attach to some bogwood..

I also got some vallis americana and crypto wendtii..

Now I only have to figure out where to put it all...?
