Hi, I have a 55 gal tank. I do 50% water changes weekly.I inject co2, fert three times a week. Lights are two 96w cf lamps one is 1,000k the other is 5,600k also have four screw in cf bulbs 5,600k a total of 240watts.nitrate is 15 ph 6.6 kh4 dh5 . I have lights on for 8 hrs, co2 also. Ricca doing great,amizon doing great,bunch plants not lasting.green weindet getting black and getting holes in the leaves.Co 2 checker is on the light lellow side. Riccia not pearling. WHAT AM I DOING WRONG and how can I correct it. Thanks Ed

Do you really need that much light? I've played around with that much light before and it's way too much work. You have to dose everyday and trim every week, mess up and problems happen quick. Cut out one of the 96w bulbs, with CO2 and ferts you should still be able to grow most plants.

Since you're only dosing 3x a week, you're likely deficient in several nutrients. If you really want to stay at that light level dose perhaps half strength daily.

Hi Eddie, welcome to AC. With a high tech. tank there are several variables one needs to look at. I would first suggest taking a look at some successful fertilizing routines, if you haven't already. http://www.barrreport.com/estimative-index/

Here's two nutrient deficiency articles. See if you can find any of your problem(s) listed. Be sure to pay attention to if the problems are found on new growth or they are on old growth. This is because some nutrients are mobile and some are not mobile.
