does anyone know of anything that will eat diatoms in an african cichlid tank? preferably a bottom fedder. They are all over my white crushed coral that I use as substate and are quite unsightly.
Thanks

I already answered in teh general freshwater but i'll say it again here.
otos are the best diatom(brown) algae eater but they will not do well in a african tank. Since you say that the problem is in your gravel then try MTS snails. They are very good at keeping the gravel clean of algae and left over. You won't have to worry about your africans attacking them as you might with say a pleco.
