...a moss ball

i was wondering if oto cats would eat a moss ball cause my LFS has a couple of moss balls that have been there for awhile and are rather large and they are pretty cheap and i have a few oto and one looks to be packed full of eggs and may be laying them seem and if they hatch i want a really large amound of food for them to snack on at any time they want and if they will eat a moss ball it may be the perfect solution

is it a moss ball or a marimo ball? I doubt it either way.

Nope, ottos don't eat any sort of aquarium plant. But they will eat blanched zucchini, blanched lettuce, blanched cucumber, veggie disks, and algae wafers. And of course they eat algae (except the really tough ones that you can't even get off with a razor).

:iagree:

If an oto started eating plants I would be worried that it is starving. As lilim said veggies, algae wafers, and new/soft algae.

Canned green beans make my otos very happy.
