I need to know does anyone have any experience with this combo?

Im about to get a tank for cheap, the only inhabitants are a blue lobster and a rope fish.

I need to know if it would be possible for me to put the lobster in my 55 with mbuna cichlids. My girlfriend really likes it!

thanks in advance :)

Alternativly could the Blue lobster live with a jack dempsey or green terror?

I think that as long as it had a place to hide while it molts etc it should be ok.

However I dont know for sure and would really like any input!

I wouldn't advise keeping a blue lobster - a crayfish - with african cichlids because mbuna are bottom dwellers and the crayfish will bug/kill them, (b) the water requirements, I believe, for crayfish and africans are quite different.

Demon, I think you're basically asking if you can see which one will become food first, and I think that the crayfish loses that battle due to its inability to take such alkaline water.

yeah I figured it would be something like that.

I cant put it with larger cichlids either because they will eat the crayfish.

My gf does want to keep it, I dont know what I'm going to do. probably end up selling it.

btw welcome back chill where the h*ll you been? :)

I've been busy with school, and that ain't gonna change, so I'll be on and off. I am a moderator on another site, so that's my first priority. I'd suggest getting another tank for the BL...you don't have enough yet! :)
