i have been doing reserch and postng quiestions regarding fish for my new 30 gal and have come to a conclusion about the fish that i am going to put in.
tell me what you think.

4-dwarf gouramis
4-german blue rams
10-neon tetras
1-? i havent found a good "cleaner" fish that is at most 4 in long so any help on that would be appreciated

Sounds alright. I would get maybe a few cories as a cleaning crew, they do a relatively good job.

if you can find any, the rare siamese algae eater(SAE) would be a good bet for a cleaner fish... keep only 1-2 of the peac-loving fish in a 30G and they will keep your tank clean of algae.. esp. the red ones, they are the only fish known to eat red algae..

be wary of SAE look-alikes like the flying fox... which tend to be a little more aggressive and eat less algae when they mature!

just a note, dwarf gouramis may attack each other but with a 30G and plenty of shelter, caves, plants etc.. it should not be too much of a problem...
