I have 56 gallon tank (30" wide 25" high 18" deep)
Right now I have a 5" pleco and I would like to add at least 2 more fish or maybe 1 fish that has a lot of personality. Any good suggestions ? Central&South American Cichlids

Texas cichlids are too large IMO...stick with fish under 12". Firemouths, convicts, blood parrots, jack dempseys, etc. are all things that could work, just not all together of course. I'm no good with larger SA/CA cichlids so I'm no help when it comes to stocking them...

Thanks PAPPY
I was thinking of firemouth & convict because I had them when I was a kid but I can't remember what other fish I had with them.

Honestly, the green terror will be too big for the convicts and the firemouth.

get a gold nugget, they are slow growers...but it wouldnt be a good tank size for a common plec...

green terror will run that tank and most likely kill the others, heres something totally different what about geophagus brasiliensis species they are cool or geophagine species i know they get a little bigger but the aggression isnt horrible in all..

LFS has beautiful jacks & GT right now which is why I really want them but I guess my tank is to small for them.
LFS also has firemouth, convict, and jewel cichlids. How about that combo?

That could actually work, and look nice too. Good luck!

After looking at all the local fish stores I think I'm going with
Gold Severum
Jewel Cichlid
Firemouth
Convict
plus the Pleco who is already in tank

I read that Severums are owner friendly and will even eat out of your hand!!!
They sound awesome are there other fish with similar qualities?

Since I have kids I think they would enjoy fish like Severums that hang out near the front of the tank and that they could have fun feeding
