Just wondering do i need another filter,i have a Juwel 56.63 litre or for you old guys 14.98 gallon freshwater set up,the filter and pump is the one that came with the tank.In the tank there is 12 Tiger barbs,2 Mollies,6 Zebra Danio's,2 red Tail Sharks (think thats what you call them) and 1 platty, the tank is doing just fine and i have had my chemical tests done at my local Aquarium store and everything is doing great.Just wondering do i need another pump and filter to run with the stock filter and pump.If so which one do you recommend.

Ummm...what are the dimensions of the tank? IF it is a 14gal that is a LOT of fish!

Oh and Mollies are schooling fish-should be kept in a least 3(1male to every 2-3 females), and R-T Sharks shouldn't be kept in multiples! They will fight and terrorize each other until at least one of them are dead! Im pretty sure that I see one of them on the bottom of the tank towards the middle--I can tell by just seeing how he is laving there that he is NOT happy!

An Aquaclear 30 would be good. And you will need to rehome the barbs and the sharks. Way overstocked.

The redtailed sharks will outgrow that tank. They reach around 6 inches.

Beautiful tank. I would get another filter, if only for backup.

yeah, overstocked by far. Another filter might be a good idea, get a small canister filter though, you won't be sorry.

As everyone has said, get your stock down as soon as you can. BTW, You have 2 platies, not 1 like how you said in your original post.

Yea I would get rid of the filter you have now and go totally with a small canister, there are several great filters that would work just fine and maybe help break down some of the bio load that may be going on in your tank!

depends greatly on the type of fish.

What do you recommend cory keeper for the kids that are really colourful and not to hard and not to easy to keep as i would say this is going to become a full time hobby from now on,i am finding that the aggressive fish i have bought are not as colourful as some of the non-aggressive fish i have seen.
