What a year it's been...So many great photographs have been submitted throughout this year and we would like to thank everyone who has participated in the POTM ( and TOTM ) competitions, your support is awesome.


We thought we would do something a little different for the month of December, for the Tank of the Month competition.


In this competition, all the previous winners from 2008 will be put up for voting, to vie for "Tank of the Year".

The Prize

Voting will be split into two sections.


1) All the 9 TOTM winners photographs will be put up for vote between 1st to 14th December 2008. The top 3 voted pictures will go to a second round of voting.


2) In the second round, the top 3 will be voted on between 15th to the 24th of December.



The winner will be announced on Christmas Day.


Who is going to get that extra bonus Christmas present this year? You decide...Its all on your votes..

I chose #8. The greens and reds of a planted tank are just more attractive to me than the marine tanks, unless it's one of those marine tanks that are chocked full of corals that don't look like they'll be compatible in the long term. FW planted look more natural.

I'm a FW planted nutter so like most others, 8 calls to me most.

At the same time though, I know nothing about SW and #3 calls to me... the soft coral and live rock has a very uniquely balanced look.

I would also like to see #9 from a different angle. I think that the line down the center is a little distracting, and the refraction is messed up. It might be a very nice tank... certainly looks like the hardware is high end.
