hello all.

so i just set up a nutrafin natural plant system yesterday but i'm not seeing any bubbles or anything. I'm not sure if I should try to mix up another batch, wait a bit, or try a DIY mix... any suggestions? i'd really love to solve this, its kinda bumming me out. I was so excited to get the package in the mail!

thanks

Yep, same thing happend to me first time I used it! Just used another couple of packets with slightly warmer water and it worked perfectly :)

Mine usually takes a day or so to 'get going'--I've always assumed it just took a bit of time for the pressure to build up through the airline enough to push the bubbles out. I could actually wash the water line in the tube get closer and closer to the opening, until it started bubbling.

If you don't use warm water, the yeast won't activate very quickly, but it still will get there. I'd wait another day or three instead of throwing it out.

just so y'all know, I went to the store and bought some yeast. The DiY mix is working great! I haven't sat down to count the rate yet, but every time I breeze by I notice there's always a steady stream of bubbles. Thanks for your help. I cant wait to see results! The box says something like 12-15 days, but then again, they said their mix would work. I'll post pictures when I can. I just replanted my entire 10 gallon. Looks good.
