Hello Everyone

I went to the local fish shop and while looking around came across some blue shrimp when I asked the associate he told me they were ghost shrimp that had been in a larger tank for about a month and had not been eaten by a couple of angel fish so I bought 10 of the really blue ones and I bought five more dozen of the younger tan/lightblue ones at a 1.60 dozen . In the last week I have noted that some of them are also turning a darker blue I know that they are not ghost shrimp these have a little red on the pincers Does anyone have an idea what kind they are?

I have no idea. But it sure is a pretty color!!

The one on the tube and to the left are definetely American Glass Shrimp, the more common "Ghost Shrimp". No clue about the blue one though, maybe a variety? They turn into a wild color when they feel like they are in a natural environment. All of my glass shrimp do this.

Hi again I have been looking at my shrimp again I think they must be some kind of color morph because the blue ones have black eyes and the tan ones have brown eyes? But the body is almost the same as the tan glasss shrimp any thoughts?

there are over 20 species of shrimp that are labeled ghost shrimp so it could be one
