CPR overflow box

Ive got the cpr 150 overflow box,it didnt come with a standpipe or the sponge or anything,just the box.Ive tried to make standpipe for this thing but the plumbing just gets too big to fit in the back of the box.whats the best way to shut this thing up?:swear:

Ive already gone out and bought the plumbing for 2 different types of stand pipes.i want to maintain 1600gals an hr,so I dont want to use reducers.rightnow Ive got an inch and a half pvc pipe with filter material over it to keep it quiet.it works but it is high maintenance and it ruins my buzz

What types did you build? I would think a durso on a 1.5" bulkhead should be fine.

The hofer gurgle buster would probably be your best bet. a 1.5" one should be able to flow 1600gph fine. I have a 1" one that I push about 900gph through.

very true! thats the reason i ripped out my overflow and moved my skimmer and filter to the tank! WAAY too noisy and i couldnt build a a gurgle buster!

Ive got the cpr 150 overflow.with the hofer gurrglebuster its dead quiet now.Im so happy with it,I now have peace of mind.Nothin pisses me off more than a noisy tank at 3 in the morning or anytime of the day..
