Neon Suitable tank mates?

Hello everyone. I was just in my lfs and they have a sweet deal on Neons 5/$5 and I was thinking of picking up 5-10 but right now I have Black Skirted tetras in my 20 and I was wondering if I could get away with putting neons in there. The black skirts look pretty peacfull but you never know. What do you guys think?

Tank has been good for over a month and a half (that is after cycle finished) and I have 5 black skirts

the neons should be fine since you only have 5 skirts its no problem!

I would only get 5, to match the black skirts in amount. Least possible chance of hostility that way. JIMO.

Really the neons would bully the black skirts if I got more then 5? lol that is funny.

all should be good, i have 2 silvertip (i think thats what they are) tetras, with 2 neons and 4 glowlights in my community. The N&G just spend most of their time together and dont bother anybody else in there lol. They are very peacefull fish in my tank.

i have blk skrts in with neons, cherry barbs, ember tetras and all is fine,....... only scuffles within species......lol

Well the Blackskirts and Neons may get along, assuming the Skirts are not too large or the Neons too small. You don't want to be putting juvie neons in with full grown Skirts.
If they are big enough I would go ahead and get 10 neons. They would be more comfortable and look better in the larger group (and you will likely lose one or two anyway).
