The Fishsiam team has captured fifty individual Giant Freshwater Stingray from both the Ban Pakong and Maeklong Rivers in Thailand.
We have caught these benthic predators with gigantic weights to 220kg's(2.4m) and are currently engaged in a research program concerning the species with the Megafish project and Dr.Zeb Hogan.
There are thriving breeding populations of these creatures in both river systems with the Fishsiam team capturing pregnant females on both rivers and witnessing Giant freshwater stingray births at both locations.
All fish caught by the team are released after capture after scientific data is recorded.
