Hey! I was so excited last night when wet pets had some farlowella in stock! right now she is only about 3 inches, but i want her to be nice and cozy here!

I have come nice plant cover (which i head they like) but i also head they like to eat veggies, so my question is, what kind of veggies do they like?

thanks!

In general vegan fish like; spinach, zucchini, squash, and some times peas. Good luck with her...and I look forward to pictures!!

I had 3 farlos until today that I've had for about 6 or 7 months. I received 2 more that I ordered today, so now I have 5. Mine love zucchini and peas the best, and once in a while, spinach. But peas are their favorite. i feed them peas every couple of days, and zucchini about the same. Spinach, once a week. They also like algae wafers and spirulina pellets. Good luck.

Thanks guys!

I love 'er to death! She seems so friendly, from what i read they are pretty motionless, mine is so funny! she can't sit still! as she sits on the glass, her tail moves back and forth like a windsheild wiper :D

Yes more then likely they will:) Mine always love all of the ones that are listed...and I know that the stores that I worked at all of the Cats ate the Veggies also!:) Its a good idea to put the food in at least 2 or 3 different places!

Good! thats the answer i wanted, food barely makes it to the bottom of tank because of my angels (fat pigs) so it is a relief that this food will be liked by my bottom dwellers

How big should portions be?

Like 1 leaf of spinach
or
1 thin slice of cucumber

etc, i don't want it to get nasty and degrade the watr :P

What I have always done is frozen...it sinks, and it also degrades slower-and its a LOT easier to keep in the long run!!:) You can get sliced cucumbers/zucchini/squash, and then bags or boxes of both peas and sminach!

I use fresh zucchini and spinach, but frozen peas. Make sure if you use peas you remove the skin. I put the frozen peas in a 1/2 cup of water, then microwave it for 45 sec. Cool them with cold water, then just gently squeeze the pea, and the insides will pop out. that's what they love. For zucchini, I use about a 3" half of a zucchini, with a fork stuck in it to weigh it down. I put in 2 pieces at a time, but I have 5 farlos, 7 sewellia lineolata, 5 full size SAEs, and an ABN eating them. Mine last less than 24 hours. If there is anything left after that, I remove it before it makes a mess. Spinach I attach to a fork, 1 med size leaf, and again, remove any leftovers after 24 hours. Notice the chunk of zucchini in the front of the tank.
