What are some good tankmates for Angelfish? Can they exist in a community setting? Would it be easier to say what are bad tankmates for angels? Can I keep quite a few angels in a tank without fear of fighting?

Only things that are bad are smaller fish that could become snacks and aggressive/nippy fish.
Larger tetras, corys, dwarf cichlids. etc. all make good tank mates.

Small tetras, barbs and other nippy fish will not work. Larger more aggressive cichlids will not work. Most tetras, cories, rainbow fish will all do just fine with angels. The angels will get along ok with each other unless you wind up with a pair, in which case you will have to keep just the two angels and remove any other angels.
Do livebearers (platies) fall under the "good tankmate" category? How about female bettas and rams?
So how many angels could I have if I had:
8 Female Bettas
3 Platies
3 Guppies
10 Rasboras
6 Rosie Reds
6 Cories
2 Rams
do other livebearers such as guppies, swordtails, or mollies work?
I already have an existing tank of bettas, platies, guppies, rosie reds, rasboras, and cories, but it is not quite "full" looking to me.

rosey red minnows? skip those as they aren't tropical fish and most stock is going to be feeders.

The rosy reds have been in my tank for about 4 months, but I'm in the process of building a pond, so they should be there soon.
Four of the female bettas will be coming with me to college at the end of December, I just didn't want to leave them alone in the dorm for a month.
