Hey guys. I haven't been around much, but I have to share my good news! My tank is officially algae-free! I set it up almost a year and a half ago, and while I never had really big problems, I've always had algae to some degree. No more!!! :D Now I just have to somehow shape the jungle into something resembling an "aquascape."

And, I found some Anubias nana "petit"! It's such a cute plant. The leaves are dark green and tiny! Just over 1 cm diameter. For those of you americans, that's like 1/2 inch or something. The rhizome seems a little intrusive on such a little plant, but I think it will fill in. It's very nice in the foreground, not too big even for a 10 gal. I'm very excited :) For those of you in the TO area, I got it at PJ's Pet Centre in Bramalea City Centre in Brampton. It was a big mass of a plant, the guy asked $40 for it. I told him I wanted less and he divided it for me, and I got $15 worth. May be some left still.

I'll try to get some pics up soon, most people don't even know this little plant exists. Much smaller than the regular nana.

The petite nana is available from Aquabotanic.com as well, depending on stocks.

Now Starry, don't jump on RTR. He's just passing along some info. on the 'Petite'.
BTW, I'm still waiting for mine to come from AB. They ran out just at the time I ordered it and he's called twice to update me and tell me it'll be in this week and I should get it on Monday :p .

I know how you feel. I've been corresponding with RTR to find out how his is doing as a possible ground cover. I told him I'm living vicariously through him until mine comes. I've never looked forward to a plant's arrival as eagerly as I am this one.
Congrats on your (almost, no tank is completely) algae free tank. You've worked hard on it and deserve the response you're getting. Could it also be that it's finally maturing and finding it's balance?

Keep us updated on the progress of the Petite, OK?
