I've been doing some research on these extrorinary fish and have seen many discrepancies. For instance some web sites list the max length for a male front to be 12", some list14" and some even 15-16". All do agree that max female size is 10 inches. Also the breeding age of these fish are listed at 12-18 monthes on some sites and some say 3-4 years at the earliest.

So what I need to know is what size tank I need to be planning on for a group of 1 male with 2-3 females? How long will it be before I can expect to see any fry.(water quality and diet being optimal of course) What would be a good clean up crew? And how much agressive behaviour should I expect out of my male.

Any other advise would be greatly apreciated.

Thanks in advance!

In my experience, frontosa are rather variable from fish to fish in their aggressiveness. These fish can easily reach 12' in total length in captivity; I wouldn't keep a group of 3-4 in anything less than a 125.
