What's a good species of shrimp to start out with?

I've kept and bred ghost shrimp before to use as feeders, and they were always very interesting to observe. And I kept a few bamboos a while back before my bf decided they would look better in his tank than mine. :headshake2: But other than that, no real shrimp keeping experience. I just keep crayfish, and now some mystery snails (not together, otherwise it'd just be crayfish again soon enough lol).

And subsequently, I've decided I would like to set-up a shrimp only tank. I don't really want to do bamboos again, they were fun and all just not as active as my ghost shrimp were, and I really enjoyed that. But I wanted something a little more colorful than my ghost shrimp. I was looking around on aquabid.com and ebay.com and I found a few that I really liked:

tiger shrimp
zebra shrimp
cherry shrimp
red claw shrimp

Could I start out with any of these, or no? Any other suggestions for something to start out with?

Thanks!
