Other fish eating my plecos food

The rosy barbs and platy's are eating my plecos food i have tried dropping in the algae tablet when i turn the lights off but they still eat it before he has a chance

My fish do the same thing. At this point, I've given up on my algae eaters getting the wafers (I figure they're good for the other fish too), and I put fresh veggies in for my pleco/otos since the other fish aren't as interested in that. Zucchini is a big hit, I just cut a slice, boil it for a minute or so, attach it to a veggie clip and let it sink. I generally put it in at bedtime and take it out in the morning, and there's always evidence they've worked on it.

i have thought about this and i have tried it today and didint know if it will foul the water but since you say it wont ill leave it in all night

Yea, just don't boil it for too long, just a quick cook to start the cellular breakdown, and I wouldn't leave it in any longer than over night. If it gets too mushy it will start to fall apart and make a mess...but I haven't had issues with this length of time.

I use veggies too, and it is usually fine overnight, must remove next morning though. I also use wafers, but I kinda target feed. I usually put the regular food for my angels and other fish first, and while they are busy munching, I drop the wafers by the cave or in the cave, then turn out the light. That usually works. I have done target feeding with frozen bloodworms too and that works.

i have tried target feeding but the other fish still seem to find it he loves zuncchi and cucumber thanks for the help

I target feed too, but always drop in an extra wafer or 2 for the other fish too for the rest to munch on. Generally though, if my pleco wants the wafer everyone else has no option but to get out of the way.
