So... here's two pics for tonite. I've began some gravelscaping... not working out well as the gravel seems to have added a metallic sheen to the water :-(
the 2nd photo is just a throw in, my Koi wanted to see what I was doing so they decided to not be camera shy for once!
Nice tank! I'm excited to see updates!

Thanks, me too! It's a work in progress for sure. I'm short on cash for now but my boyfriend kept telling me he wanted a fish tank... so here I am getting back into the hobby after about 5 years away!
Well, actually it started when his mother said she wanted a waterfall in the backyard... and I talked her into a pond. We got three Koi for it, and now come spring I am planning on an extension for the pond that will allow me to overwinter them outside.

So, here we go! I just ordered a Marineland 220 canister for this baby!
Also, here's Dusk, my boyfriend's beta. Hopefully while I'm cleaning today my purse will turn up with my Nikon F18.

I KNOW I'm not reading that right... Why would you have 3 betta superglued to the glass of a saltwater tank? They are a FRESH water fish!!

THE KOI HAVE BEEN NAMED!
Sarasa, Mokushi and Ru-Gosai! Hopefully they will get less camera shy over the winter before they go back to the pond.

Lol, The Cory's think it's an upgrade. They've always been very active (maybe because they're all ALONE in the tank, but anywho) They're swimming inbetween stems and are just having a total ball. I can't wait to get more fish.
I've also decided that i'll be getting a divider, and the RCS are going to share a tank with Dusk, the betta in the 10g for a while.

I know it's not the greatest shot but it's the best I can manage with this retarded L18. I also can't find my tripod :-(
Question for all the shrimp owners out there: Is it normal to find so many sheds? I'm seeing white sheds all over the tank since moving them into the 40g! I'm hoping it means they're happy and growing.

So, I got some decorations, and 6 glowlight tetras! It was a toss up between six Glowlights or 6 Von Rio Flame Tetras. I can't wait to get some more of them.

Freshwater Limpets.
Probably came in on the Rotalla rotundifolia... (Yes it was probably sold as indica but that's another story) They thrive on decaying plant matter and are harmless. The size in the pictures is about as big as they get.
