Are these common ramshorns? I have yet to experience a dud clutch, if you leave them there they will hatch :)

Leave them there and before too long, you'll be asking how to keep them from hatching. Lol.
As stated no care is required.

yeah. I started with 1 in my 5g, I got another 2 from the LFS, before long I'm gonna be up to my eyeballs in snails :) . Though I plan on raising lots, and crushing them for food, namely cories.

To use them as food, just crush them with your fingers. I discovered that cory cats will eat them when I squished several ponds. Its useful because I doubt most fish will eat them. I have problems with every fish eating my cory cats food before the cories can eat it themselves.

thanks ck!!!!!! and i agree with the other fish eating the cory's food... have you tried turning the lights off for 10-20min and then droping the food in????? that is what works best for me!!!

SWEET!!!!!! now i can make 10 cents by selling them all to the pet store!!!!!! LOL
But the planorbids are not for sale, Rocker. Only the Marisa cornuarietis are. Ramshorns are obtained as hitchhikers amongst plants.

LOL, I think the proper way to frame this discussion would be: what would you have to do to NOT get them to hatch?

Even if they don't hatch, you'll get another very... VERY soon.
If the conditions were right once, whats to stop them from doing it again? Or a second time, a third... fourth...... thousandth?
Good luck.
This is one time I see the ramshorns are spoiled.:D

Calm down. For the first couple months, it may seem like they're not doing any reproducing, even if you see eggs everywhere. That's because the babies are so tiny that you just don't see them.
You don't have to do anything special at all. They will eat algae wafers, snail jello, etc just like their parents, and they need the same temp as the parents.
Although, if you have any fish, they may be eating the baby snails or eggs.
