I am looking for some small sized dwarf freshwater puffers. I really want to turn my heavily planted 5 into a place for puffers only! So if anyone has some, or knows a place that would be great thanks.

they have some here at MLF...

if i was a pro at shipping fish i would buy them for you and ship them...
they are 1.99 a piece.
I have 3 in a 10g planted.

What is MLF?

Just to let you know luckydud, your 5g is only suitable for 1 dwarf puffer. Each puffer needs about 3-4 gallons to themselves, and the tank needs to have plenty of plants/decorations for them to establish territories for themselves. Both the males and females are about equally aggressive. I tried having 2 f in my 5g, and one female rarely got any food b/c of the other one, and was constantly chased.

Ok saram, I will take your advice. I just want to have something other than a betta for my 5, Can anyother fish go with it?

Possibly. Dwarf cories are cute little guys and since they're mainly bottom dwellers, they may not pose a threat to a dwarf puffer. DP's are kinda like bettas; some are more tolerable of other inhabitants than others. Dwarf cories only grow to 1"-1 1/4" so would be suited to your tank, stocking wise. My dwarf puffer females didn't bother my little cories, but that may have been b/c the one female was busy chasing the other! People have stuck dp's in their larger community tanks made up of tetras, livebearers, etc. and seemingly had no problems. The key there may have been a larger tank, seeing as how puffers are territorial. You could try a couple of tetras with a dp, but whatever fish you have, be prepared to move them if there's a compatibility issue.
