My son was out with friends on Friday night, the night turned to sadness when my sons friend got a call to say his friend in Afghanistan had been killed. My son didn't know this guy,but he did his best to console his friend,he said he didn't have a clue what to say to him. This guy was one of the good guys,my son said that's why he's gone, sadly. He didn't live far from us ,i didn't know him either, but now know of him for the wrong reasons. My sympathies go out to his wife and child,it's truly tragic.Sympathies go out to the other soldiers families too, that were also sadly killedhttp

its so sad. I know the feeling tho. Just lost another friend in Iraq, and already lost a lifelong friend also in Iraq. Its such a tradegy.

I'm very sorry to hear this Jane.

That's so sad, my dad is a Marine so I have many friends that are over there or have gone. I think the only thing you can say really is he died as a hero honoring his country.

My heart goes out to his wife and family.

Rough thing to hear no matter how close to the individual.
