My shrimp grow-op/indoor garden is probably one of my favorite tanks. It's housed in a 7gal bowfront - which sadly got scratched when I was playing around with FeatherRock. (Never using that stuff again!)
It's stocked with
- Cherry Shrimp
- Rednose Shrimp
- Cardinal Tetras
- Threadfin Rainbow
- Various forms of hitchhiking snails
This is also one of the lowest maintenance tanks I've had. It seems my new studio has an ant problem. These ants also love the aquarium. And committing suicide, it seems, because the fish snack on them constantly and are -fat- as little sausages. [I've actually stopped feeding the fish and they keep growing]
Shrimp-Horde gets an algae pellet daily, and they keep all the plants spotless. There's a little bit of trimming when the red lotus grows too much and week-ish-ly water changes.
No CO2, no ferts, 2CFLs pumping out something like 4w/gal. Simple and spiffy. I love!
Pictures!
Note: That white smear on the upper right part of the glass (with the red lotus left behind it). That's a massive SCRATCH from FeatherRock. Boo! Hiss!
