On a saltwater tank, after the liverock cycles the tank, do I do, corals, inverts, fish? Or inverts, coral, then fish? Are snails considered inverts? When should they be added?

Once the cycle finishes, i usually throw in the inverts ( snails / shrimp / hermits ), as these will the start off your cleanup crew..Then, its up to you whether you start with fish in next or coral....Some prefer to wait a while before they start to add coral, to allow time for the tank to settle down after going through the cycle..which is all cool...

** As a side note ** When adding fish, its always best to go from placid to agressive / territorial. If the aggressive or territorial fish go in first, they will have a tendancy to consume everywhere as their territory, and any future placid / peacefull inhabitants will then have a struggle to establish their own..

thanks, there will only be one fish. What do corals need to servive? Do I need to feed enough to see the Banded shrimp eat or is scavenging (eating even if you don't see him grab the flakes) enough food for him?

Each coral has its own specific needs / enviroment / habitat and each should be researched properly before purchase to ensure you can provide all this....you can target feed the shrimp by squirting food in its general location...that should help...
