I happened to win an invertebrate package with Asian clams (with food and intructions), elimia snails, and apple snails... got the package and discovered it was Florida Apples, pomacea paludosa, instead of briggs.
The elimia snails are a lot like mts in appearance, but from what I've been reading they are egg layers, grow a bit larger, and have longer lifespans. The foot on this variety has a pretty pinkish color on the underside.
Cool flapples! Any more pics please, PD?!:D

You have no idea how hard it was to just get the ones I posted with that hyper little goldie leaving orange streaks in my pics. :)
I'll try getting some more later. :D
Ya know I'm in love with your flapples.:D :naughty:

I'll be sure to tell them they have an admirer. :D
Those are just the little ones, there's one twice that size that took off into the pipe cave when he saw the camera.

The elimia look like fatty MTS, lol. The flapples are definately cute, but I prefer the Haustrums and Canas. But, the flapples have my props, because they're still hellish cute. :)

That's a really neat trumpet! I've never seen the Elmia before, but I love trumpets.... when they breed would you sell me some?

They came in my invert package I won on another site.

Yeah, they are pretty neat. :) As I understand it, these are a US native snail.
I don't think there's any restrictions on them, so yeah I can probably send you some when they start breeding... if they breed, that is. Not sure if I ended up with mixed genders or not.
