Well I started with the new rock formation as shown below.

http://i227.photobucket.com/albums/dd129/aaddeo/newtank.jpg

then i got some t5 ho lights by nova extreme which puts out 78 watts into a 30 gallon = 2.6 watts/gallon which meant it was time for some plants.

wisteria is seen in the back corners. bacopa carolinia can be seen in the background in the middle of the tank. blyxa japonica is found in between the rocks and then random bushes of HM. i am not too satisfied though and im open for suggestions!! please comment!

for noe its great ~!!! after you get established you may want to trade out the wisteria for a stem plant. I think a hint of red one or 2 places would look good . I like your HM placement . I would make a huge bunch of it thow on the left side of that last right rock . just where the rock is barley being seen. I think it is doing great for a new tank' when you get ready and established after a few mths' then you will see all the growth, and want to change out stems for other plants . do you still want a foreground ? have you seen my stargrass ? most people wouldent say stargrass is a foreground, and your tank might be too small, but in my 45 which isint much bigger, I have one corner of it , and I LOVE IT !! let me see if I can find a pic....heres my stargrass , I just luv it !! ( I have tried ALL foreground plants I also have blyxaq jap. too !!! )

heres a little peak at some color..... with the stargrass in the bottom left ... looks taller than it is. it does need to be trimmed when it grows I wait for 2 sep leaves to come up the third I tril and replant in a new spot, so far can be grown pretty close :)

just throwing out some hints for ya here, def not trying to hijack . sorry if my pics take up alot .... I think your tank looks great ! I LOVE your rock scape, I need some kind of hard scape, I dont have any in my 45. But I do have and keep a abundance of plants ........ HTH ~~~~~~~

I was thinking you should add some red plants as well.I would use some glosso for the foreground too.

Ludwigia repens could look good in the center of the tank behind the rock. It grows pretty tall and should show some red with your lighting.
Bronze Crypt wendtii may be an idea for the right mid ground.

Looks awesome. I hope my 30g will look as good as that. My 30 is also going to have 78w of t5. Btw are you running a CO2 system?

Looks like you have white specks in your sand like a crushed granite?
