This is for my friend Eric......he own 3 black fin shark ( Colombian Shark ) one feedier(?) crab and an up side down cat. now one of his blackfin shark die with no reason beside a "tooth mark" like sothing clamp on it. that make crab the primary suspect. now another Black shark is wounded with it's fin nipped (or i should say cut)it is in QT now but eric think the up side down cat is the one who did it because he saw the USDC chace the blackfin sharks some time. so base on this can any one tell me who is the true murder?

Not with the given info. We would need to know how long the tank has been set up, how long the tank occupants have been together, what size they are, what size tank they are in, and if there is decorations for fish to hide and such. From the sounds of it it might be the Fiddler Crab but I may be wrong. Anyway, hope this helps.

I seriously doubt it is the USD catfish...

It also could have just died and the crab picked at it after it was dead.

1.the tank: 10 gal with undergravel filter and 100watt heater set up for a month. their are some decor and plants for they to hide
2. fish: black fin shark =3.5 inchs
USD Cat =4.5 inchs
crab=1.5inchs wide
they being toghther for about 3 or 4 days
he is going to move them into a way larger tank this summer
i still believe the fish is attacked because there is noone around the body when the first death been found. than again the first case the fish's dorsal fin is blood red could this mean there is some sort of sickness cause this to happen? although i think the crab is the killer. but we really dont know what cause this. so any other input?

if i were to just guess, i'd say the crab got em while they were sleeping...?
the usdc has spines that could have poked them..but i doubt he could do that kinda wound w/ them.
they could have got sick and died and the crab got it then.
where's matlock when you need him

If these fish were just introduced to this 10 g tank, then the biofilter may be not up to the load.
Any ammonia and nitrite measurements?
If you have ammonia, then the fish keeper did it, in the 10 gallon tank, with the candlestick... no, no, I mean the tank water.
