Ok, so i've only made two batches of DIY CO2 and am already sick of it. lol. I was looking into maybe setting up a paintball system in the very near future. I saw Bk suggest this (http://www.thatpetplace.com/pet/group/4530/product.web) in a couple threads. What would i need besides that regulator, a couple tanks, and tubing? Also, right now i'm diffusing through a rapid c-80 mini canister. Would i still be able to use that with the paintball system or would i have to buy a diffuser/reactor? Thanks.

A bubble counter would be handy and a needle valve. You can still diffuse through the canister.

Ok, i think that reg comes with a needle valve. Bubble counter - check. I was thinking about having the co2 shut off with the lights. Should i worry about getting a solenoid? Is there even a solenoid for a paintball reg? Or would it just be easier to shut the tank off manually? Or should i maybe just leave it on 24/7? Also, is there special tubing or could i just use regular airline tubing?

There is CO2 tubing which loses less CO2 than regular airline tubing. Not needed but does conserve CO2. A solenoid is nice, I turn mine on and off with my lights, it is not a necessity though. I imagine they make one for paint ball setups but I can't say 100% for sure.

Hm, well i know the red sea kit comes with a solenoid, but if it isn't really needed then i would rather not get the kit. I guess the only downfall of leaving it on all the time would be that i would have to to swap out tanks more?

yes. not needed but good to save your self some co2. i leave mine on 24/7

I'm not too worried about saving co2. The place i used to get my tanks filled when i played paintball only charges like $2 to fill a tank. I just wasn't sure if it was safe to leave it on all the time. Now that i know it won't hurt anything, i'll just leave them on. Now to find some tanks....

is the regulator for the 10g paintball co2 setup the same as the regulator for a regular big regulator that would be used on a 20LBS tank..

in other words.. can i hookup this regualtor to a paintball setup..

Hey dark. Didn't you just get a big tank. lol. why you need to know? Anyway, i don't think it will attach directly, but you can get an adapter to attach that reg to a paintball tank.

Lol, i kind of did the same thing. I saw a paintball co2 system for sale in the classifieds and was like...hmm, i could prob get that set up pretty cheap. I already have a tank from when i played paintball. Why am i doing DIY?!?

a regular regulator wouldnt fit on a paintball system. you might be able to find a adapter.
