Ok I started with one small java fern plant and it's done really well.
how do you trim java fern and what do you guys do with the trimmings? I don't really have anyone to give them to. Although most of the java fern i'd be getting rid of are pretty small. So maybe no one would want them?
Do you think I should trim my java fern or do you think it looks ok as it is? Here is a picture of my large java fern plant.

It looks good. You can trim of pieces of the rhizome to have new java fern plants.

yea you just split the rhizome. make sure there are a few leafs left.

Just make sure that the rhizomes have at least 4 leaves so they can grow faster after they've been cut off.
