Consider for a moment the number of schools there are nationwide, now realize, apple donates many computers to schools... Even though they may not be the popular home computer they are the dominant school computer.
They should have made it a comedy about how Apple convinces stupid people their computers are worth double the money.

not any more..... here more and more pc labs are coming in. the one local school district there is now only 3-4 mac labs..... more and more schools are switched to cheaper pcs. then go back and look how many school comps are there per kid? then go back and look how many of those have comps at home....
They should have made it a comedy about how Apple convinces stupid people there computers are worth double the money.

Same performance...
And yes, I do graphics on a PC...with windows XP S3
If macs are Sooo great, and OS 10, or whatever they are on now is so bulletproof, then wouldnt they be offering it on other devices. like mobile phones, PDA's and the like? (besides the Iphone - another masterpiece) I mean if I had a great OS that was better than Microsofts, Iwould want to sell it to everyone.., not just people that buy my computers.. Commedore tried this long ago, it was called the Amiga...
If it doesnt say Apple on the front then it doesnt have the GREAT Virus proof OS...
I think they are just afraid to go head to head with mocrosoft.
AND... the only reason MAC's dont get viruses is because there arent many out there, and the hackers just havent made an Apple Mac virus yet..
I think the hackers are just slacking...

either that or even they know that hacking/creating malware for a mac is a waste of time.. lol
Well virus hackers are like software developers, do you make software/virii for 3% of the computer population or 90%...

I love how Mac users are screaming "Our computers are better!"
Guess what, Macs and PCs are pretty much the same, your operating systems are differnt. If I wanted, I could put OSX on my desktop at home and call it a "Mac". Plus, if's OSX is so much better, why isnt it the most popular OS in the world then? Windows runs on more machines and Windows server is by far one of the most popular.
Do you know why Macs dont get a virus? Because there isnt enough Macs for hackers to care about. I could easily say "My UNIX doesnt get virus' either!".
Don't forget the demise of Mac's, the "Right Click".

sort of... the pc laptop kicked that macbook's booty into next week... and it took 4 mac pros to own the little pc laptop... i can't wait to see part 2! :)

A lot of high schools around here have them exclusively and teachers are issued Mac laptops for school use. But if you ask around, I would say close to 98% of the student body hates the computers and Macs in general.
