That male festae is brilliantly colored... thought only the females would get such vivid bars. How big is he now?

The male is trying to "impress" the female. They are flirting. Although not as colorful as te female...they do color up nicely. He's still a juvenile. I'm terrible on the size thing. Aikido Guy gave me the female...and has seen the male. Maybe he will venture a guess. Mine is 10".
Yes..I did write that article in November's TFH.
When i got the female ready for the haul to Mos place I physically measured the fish with a ruler. She was exactly 7" from head to tail. That male is a little less that twice her length, but is much taller and thicker bodied. 12" wouldnt be stretching the truth on that male.
