I have read that bristlenose plecos add a lot of waste to the tank. That is not very specific. When you add one to a community tank, is there a noticeable increase in waste? Are they really nasty poopers or something? They are so interesting looking, and I would really like to add one to my tank as the algae eater / weird looking guy in there. But would like some insight before I buy. Thank you for your info.

I wouldn't say they contribute a whole lot more waste than a fish of simlar size. It may seem that they do as I find they are constantly grazing and therefore pooping.
Whether it would be noticeable or not will depend on the size of the tank, current stocking, and maintenance routine.
