I have a 75G tank that will house some South American cichlids including one severum. Now I am trying to decide what to do with my 46G bowfront.

I'd like it to be a cichlid tank, but I am trying to decide between South American, Central American, mixed New World or African.

What would you do if you had an empty 46G and could choose any type of cichlid?

Julidochromis transcriptus, Altolamprologus calvus, and either Neolamprologus brevis, occelatus, or multifasciatus...depends.

If I were looking at cichlids for it, electric yellow labs and socolofi - both regular and albino.

I'd do my all-time favorite tank: an amazonian biotope.. Apistos, cardinals, cories, gold nugget plec.. Makes for a great community tank..

Of course, the labs and blues mbuna tank sounds nice too..

Ever considered a salt tank?
