Right now i have 5 green chromis. I am presently feeding them Ocean nutrition formula two marine pellet, Ocean Nutrition Formula One frozen food, and Omega One frozen mysis shrimp twice a day. I was wondering if these are good brands or if there was a better brand of fish food i could use? The fish seem to like and they look healthy i just want to feed them the best food i can get.

Thanks

Make sure everything you are feeding them comes from the ocean. Formulas one and two are good foods. Makes sure that the mysis shrimp are from the ocean. Many brands are from freshwater sources, which don't have the right nutrition.

I like Ocean Nutrition and San Francisco Bay frozen foods. Like Brine shrimp formula by Ocean Nutrition without that gue stuff added to it. I wouldn't use any frozen formula with binding stuff because it makes a mess and makes water dirty. the dry formula you are using is nice too, specially spirulina formulas. I think you are good, considering that you feed different foods too.

For frozen foods, I always default to Hikari brand. They are free of the dirty/phosphate laden water that seemed to be in some of the other brands I have tried. With other frozen foods I always rinsed the food before putting it in the tank. With the Hikari I hold the cube in front of a powerhead and it adds movement to the food and the fish have more of a game to it. I still rinse and enrich to feed the corals. I use the Reef Nutrition (Arctic Pods, Phytofeast, Oysterfeast and Tiger Pods) all for different reasons.

Ok thanks
