btw...sorry i know this is WAY off topic but do you like your sponge filter???? i just got one today and i cant put it in untill all my filter cartdriges are used up!!!!!!

but do you like it????? how well does it keep your tank clean???? do you use carbon somewhere else in the tank?????

Thank you all for your nice comments. I really do love these guys, so keeping them clean and healthy is a lot of work. my python does nto fit on my sinks, I have to do buckets. some times 3 times a week OYE way to much work!!! in the summer when its warm out we do let the water go out the front door with the python, but now that its so cold we have to do buckets. I can not wait until my grand kids are able to life them !

I got an email from a man who wants 50 snails. humm do you think he is going to feed his fish? I am worried . but Im also over loaded with them, over 100 I think or more.

I bet they'll go crazy for it :)

once I was at the local little grocery store and I got baby food for snail jello. the cashier asked if I had a recipe for it or... (I'm young and this town is gossipy lol) so I had to go and explain snail jello to her. she called over a co-worker to tell HIM about it. lol they were amazed and weirded out at the same time :eek3:

LOL...I bought a dozen more Tums last Saturday and the lady asked what I am supposed to do with these. It's not often you see someone buying dozens of calcium carbonate possibly for heartburn and indigestion. I simply smiled at her and she went off to get what I want. It was embarassing to tell her they're for the snails especially as it was in a public place.:screwy:

I sooo didn't. The guy was creeped out and was like "Can you eat them?" because apparently you can't just keep them. I told him they were pets and I could see him thinking "what's wrong with her that she keeps snails and even COOKS for them?" Maybe we just don't look like we're snail people. (What would a snail keeper look like anyway?)

nah, I've been thinking, and snail people definitely have shell backpacks and hair that goes in two points to form their tentacles. I think I can do the hair thing cuz it's already spiky, but the shell thing may take some time :)

tubifex worms they go mad over . simply mad. I add them to a clip and they come running. along with the cories.and other fish

yes, and they go mad over it. I just gave another 8 snails to a good home.... lady came with her son. she has several tanks and is well versed on fish and how to's She was thrilled as she was looking for some, and with our crappy pet store we do not see any around here. Im down to the wire soon with snails. Mom gets 8 and Im down to my original 6 :lol: with the ones coming from Jinkz I will be thrilled. there black footed, never had those so I am soooooooo excited.

yeah that cory is worrying me. She is huge, and her mate keeps chasing beside her. She wants to eat non stop so she is ok, but pretty fat.
