i put some new fish in yesterday (2 mudminnows and a warmouth) and they really like to hide near the bottom. the mudminnows move all around to different hiding places, but the warmouth sticks to the back left corner behind some grass.

these 3 fish are missing out on feeding time because they're always hiding and the 9 shiners gobble up all the food.

what should i do? do you think the 3 fish will eventually catch on? or should i get some small sinking pellets just for them?

they should get it soon. if they don't i might try sinking pellets

I haven't kept these fish my self, but in my experience it's pretty common for fish to skip feeding for the first couple of days. Some times it's the change in their food type that confuses them, other times it's just the stress of transport and adapting to new water. Other fish are just plain out shy for the first while. Give it a couple days, if they really don't seem to be eating, try some live food.

:iagree:
All of my fish didnt eat for a couple of days, they were petrified of the car ride home and being taken from all their buddies. So it might take awhile for them to feel at home
