Hey guys. I wanna make a moss lawn and a mass wall for my tank. So I was just wondering how would I clean the fish waste out of the moss? I dont think syphoning it out will work cuz that might just rip out all the most? or the poop will get stuck to the moss? Also what type of substrate should I use if i am gonna end up putting moss over it? X_X

What I would do is just shake the moss up, rinse it.

During a water change, while adding water back to the tank, rinse the moss off so that the debris gets put into the water column and removed by the filter, or put your hand in the tank and stir it a bit.

IME, with moss being like a carpet, I didn't have a lot of visible debris to get in it, but when you remove it, there is a lot..
